It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our Honorary Vice Presidents; Christopher Brain. Chris enjoyed a hugely successful career with his family's brewing business and served as Chair of Brain's Brewery from 1989 until 2009. During this time, Chris oversaw the move in 1999 from the company's traditional site in Cardiff, off St. Mary Street, to the southern side of the Cardiff Central railway station and the site of the former Hanco*ck's brewery, thereby allowing the redevelopment of The Old Brewery into the hugely popular Brewery Quarter, full of restaurants and bars, right in the heart of the Welsh capital. We'd like to send our deepest condolences to Christopher's family and friends at this time. Tom The Book Writer Tom Davies died on March 16 in Llandough Hospital. He was 82 and suffering from dementia. Tom always loved to travel and managed to visit just about everywhere in the world through his work as a journalist and author, before embarking on that final journey.
